Le
Mourre, means " the nose" in Provençal.
A typical provencial road leads there: a stonewall
which is sometimes fallen down borders it on one side,
you may come across an oak tree, several hundred years
old, or a row of olive trees.
Sometimes a cypress seems to be there just to remind
you that the Mediterranean is not far away; it is
a wonder.
One discovers a landscape bathed in a light full of
presence, composed to celebrate the harmony of nature,
the villages of Gordes and Menerbes.
The pigeon house, the sharecropper's house with its
wine vat, the hay barn, the farm, and of course, the
windmill have been turned into shelters and restored
with authenticity.
