Welcome to the Bastide des Magnans, nestling in the
heart of the Luberon on the edge of the hamlet of
Lubac, a stone's throw from the village of Lacoste,
the mythic home of the Marquis de Sade.
Myriam Guisset, art restorer, welcomes you to this
former, 18th century silk factory, carefully renovated
respecting true, traditional techniques (whitewashes,
frescoes, faux-marbre and natural pigments), which
give this country house a slight Italian aspect, warm
and comfortable.
The house, in its oasis of greenery, bordered by grapevines
and pines, invites you to discover the Provençal
way of life. From its elevated position, the surrounding
areas stretch to the horizon in a light that evokes
Van Gogh; the rooms and terraces provide a view of
the highest summit in the region, which inspired Pétrarch's
"The Climbing of the Mont Ventoux".
