Nested
with the foot of Luberon, Robion is a charming
village which is not revealed with the first access.
It is necessary to leave the road of Cavaillon
and to penetrate in the old village to appreciate
all the charm of it.
History :
The favorable configuration of the place was
worth to him to be inhabited as of the Paleolithic
one. Many archeological sites were discovered
on the commune.
During the Roman occupation and the great activity
of via domitia, Robion is a crossroads graft

from Marseilles.
Gone down in the plain during Pax Romana, the
inhabitants hasten to join their rocks during
the cruel invasions. Protected well by a double
enclosure, the village will know a rather calm
history except for confusion of the church by
the Baron of the Adrets during the wars of religion.
What remains castle will be destroyed with
the revolution. The walls of the enclosure will
also disappear fault from maintenance.
At the 19th century, the village specializes
in the decorated tomb stone face (not to miss
some interesting specimens with the cemetery)
